Drought Tolerant Native Plants for the Seattle Area
Now that the weather has your attention, and the hemlock down the street has died, isn’t it time you started thinking about plants that can handle warmer dry summers, but still the wet winters?
Depending upon your yard soil, the solar aspect, and existing shade, there are plants for your yard. Let Go Natives! Nursery in Shoreline, WA help you start the transition to fewer dead plants, less watering, and more wildlife in your yard with drought tolerant native plants !
You can start small, with a Mock Orange or Oceanspray, or if you have more shade, some salal or Evergreen Huckleberry. If you need some screening, stop with non-native evergreens and go with some California (sic) Wax Myrtle.
These plants, once established, will require little summer watering.
